L’Asta del 2020

Asta del 1920 is a project that started in 2019 with a series of city assemblies open to everyone and meetings with schools, the activities to be organized to celebrate the centenary of the purchase of the Ventimiglia Castle by the citizens of Castelbuono were discussed together. From the meetings with associations and the citizens, lots of collateral events were born, which will be activated during 2020 and 2021, enriching the centenary celebrations. For this event, the Fiasconaro company of Castelbuono created a work realized with its sweets products, dedicated to the Ventimiglia Castle and temporarily exhibited at the Civic Museum. The meetings and the many opportunities to meet, renewed the desire of sharing and the will to transmit the collective memory to future generations. The series of events promoted by the associations and groups that animate Castelbuono’s cultural life have been a unique and precious example of an active community, full of activity in all fields.
