Fixed place is a project financed by Comune di Bergamo and Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca, designed in collaboration between GAMeC, Cooperativa Namastè onlus and Fondazione Opera Bonomelli onlus. Fixed Place consists of 40 workshops for elderly people aged 65 onwards as well as healthy people and people living with Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as 40 workshops for people between the ages of 18 and 65, from the average citizen to people living in precarious migrant conditions. Born from the belief that art is a space of mutual growth and promotion of the development of a person, this project makes the museum a place of dialogue and interaction bringing in people who might have otherwise been confined to invisibility, creating a training ground for meaningful social engagement between people of diverse backgrounds.
