Imagining Frictions: what we see… is what they see?
Spazio Obù – Fondazione Terzoluogo

Fondazione Terzoluogo believes in the transformative potential of culture. For this reason, it builds hubs of knowledge that integrate libraries, childcare services, and community laboratories in the experimentation of educational practices. In Naples, we do this at Spazio Obù, in the heart of the Sant’Antonio Abate district.

A cultural institution’s self-image often diverges from how it is actually experienced by its audience. While this discrepancy can create tension, it also opens up unexpected opportunities. This workshop invites educators and mediators to explore the “frictions” between intention and perception using artistic stimuli and archival materials. Rather than seeking to resolve this dissonance, we will learn to inhabit it, transforming it into a creative resource and a vital learning tool for our daily work within museums and cultural institutions.
