Sunghee Cho is a Curator in the Culture and Education Division at the National Asian Culture Center (ACC), an institution under the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Since 2022, she has overseen international education cooperation initiatives, planning and delivering educational projects in collaboration with cultural and arts institutions across Asia. Through this work, she has contributed to building sustainable international networks among museum and cultural education professionals.

She also focuses on developing cultural education models grounded in digital environments, taking a leading role in the planning and implementation of online and hybrid education programs that utilize the National Asian Culture Center’s extensive cultural education resources. Prior to joining the National Asian Culture Center, Sunghee accumulated over 17 years of professional experience in the field of museum education. She worked as an education officer at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and later served as Head of the Education Team at the Daelim Cultural Foundation, overseeing education programs at both D Museum and Daelim Museum. Throughout her career, she has designed and delivered educational and cultural programs for diverse audiences ranging from young children to adults, and has consistently contributed to expanding museum education as a key practice for public engagement, learning, and social connection.


Institution

The National Asian Culture Center (ACC) is an affiliate of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, established in November 2015. It prides itself on being an international arts and cultural exchange organization that creates forward-looking outcomes by merging Asia's historical and contemporary arts and culture with innovative ideas and beliefs.

Located on the site of the May 18th Democratic Movement, the ACC is rooted in artistic expression that emphasizes the significance of human rights and peace. Its ongoing goal is to foster mutual understanding and growth among various Asian countries. The ACC functions as an integrated platform where participants from Asia and the rest of the world freely unite and exchange ideas through research, creation, and production. Moreover, the ACC hosts year-round diverse and dynamic programs (exhibitions, performances, education, festivals, etc.) crafted by experts from various fields who exchange creative ideas and utilizing research data and resources.
