Giulia Pollicita
In-house curator at Fondazione Morra Greco
Giulia Pollicita (Palermo, 1996) has been the in-house curator at Fondazione Morra Greco since 2022. Between 2022 and 2025, she worked as assistant curator to Pierre Bal-Blanc, Claudia Gioia, Lorenzo Benedetti, and Salvatore Lacagnina on monographic exhibitions by artists including Jimmie Durham, Cezary Bodzianowski, and Maria Papadimitriou. At the foundation, she has curated several exhibitions drawn from the collection and, in 2025, curated Marina Xenofontos’ first institutional exhibition in Italy. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Arts London (UAL).
In 2026, she will co-curate, together with Eunice Tsang, a group exhibition exploring the theme of play at Current Plans, Hong Kong. Since 2022, she has also collaborated with Fondazione Elpis, Milan, as regional curator for Sicily and Campania within the framework of the project Una Boccata d’Arte.
The research project is supported by the Italian Council programme (2025) and will subsequently travel to Naples. She has also curated exhibitions at galleries including Des Bains (London) and Richard Saltoun (Rome). Her writing has appeared in academic and contemporary art journals such as Flash Art, NERO, and Artforum. In 2026, her academic contribution will be published in The Routledge Companion to Art Biennials (Routledge).
