An archaeologist with the Ministry of Culture, Sirano has served as Director General of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples since October 2025. From 2017 to 2025, he led the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, following senior positions in heritage protection and promotion in the Campania region. Between 2014 and 2016, he was a member of the support team for the Great Pompeii Project. He holds a PhD and specialization from the Italian School of Archaeology in Athens, a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Economics, and directs research within the French university system.
