Professor and Chair of Neurology at the University of Padua

Dr. Maurizio Corbetta is Professor and Chair of Neurology at the University of Padua; Founding Director of the Padua Neuroscience Center; and Emeritus Professor of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Corbetta has discovered two brain networks dedicated to attention control, the dorsal and ventral attention networks, and developed a functional anatomical model of human attention. His clinical work has focused on the effects of focal injury on brain networks including stroke and brain tumors. Recently, he is focusing on the function of spontaneous brain activity and the prediction of neurological disorders using different methods for studying the functional organization of the brain from MRI to high-density EEG/MEG.
